We have all experienced the effects of this tough economy, and have had to tighten our financial belts - I believe government needs to do the same. We need to makefiscally responsible decisions with the limited resources we have, balancing the varied needs of our residents, without increasing taxes or fees.

Our district ranges from South County, whose residents strive to preserve the beautiful rolling country-side and quiet peaceful pace of life – to Crofton, whose residents are experiencing a population growth without a corresponding increase in infrastructure.  All areas of our County are faced with the expansion of Fort Meade required under the BRAC program and the next County Council will be tasked with responding to the challenges that these changes place on our schools, roads, businesses, and housing.

I look forward to working with each of you as we continue to navigate the course that our great Country, State, and County have in front of us.
